❓What kind of kayaks do you rent?
We offer single-person, recreational kayaks—perfect for paddling calm waters like the Meduxnekeag River, Nickerson Lake, and Meduxnekeag Lake. We have up to four adult kayaks and one child-sized kayak (suitable for ages 7–12).
❓Can I launch directly from your property?
Yes! Our property offers private riverfront access to the Meduxnekeag River in Houlton, Maine. It’s a scenic, slow-moving river ideal for beginners, families, or anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful paddle.
❓Do you offer kayak delivery to local lakes?
Absolutely. We offer kayak delivery and pick-up to both Nickerson Lake and Meduxnekeag Lake. Simply schedule your rental in advance and we’ll handle the rest—your kayak will be ready when you arrive.
❓Can I transport the kayak myself?
Yes! We offer flexible pick-up options so you can transport the kayak to any public access point in Aroostook County. Roof straps are available upon request.
❓Do you offer guided kayak tours?
Not at this time. All rentals are self-guided, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace. We’re happy to provide recommendations for safe and scenic launch points based on your interests.
❓What’s included with my rental?
Each kayak rental includes:
- Paddle
- Life jacket (PFD)
❓How do I reserve a kayak?
You can book online through our [Booking Page] or reach out via our [Contact Page] to schedule your rental. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance for deliveries or on-site launches to ensure availability.
❓What is your cancellation policy?
We offer full refunds for weather-related cancellations or if you cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice. For last-minute changes, contact us as soon as possible.
❓Is kayaking safe for beginners?
Yes! Our rental fleet is designed for calm, flat water conditions, and we provide all the essential safety gear. The Meduxnekeag River and local lakes are perfect for first-time paddlers and families.
❓Can children kayak?
Children ages 7–12 can use our 6-foot youth kayak with adult supervision. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the water.
