Whether you’re looking for a quick paddle down the Meduxnekeag River or planning a day at one of our nearby lakes, we provide flexible kayak rental options to fit your adventure.
We currently offer self-guided rentals only. You choose where and how you paddle—we’ll provide the gear and convenience.

Riversbend Paddle Co. is located at 431 Bangor Street, Houlton, ME—just minutes from everything you need to start your paddling adventure.
- Only 3 miles from Nickerson Lake and 7 miles from Meduxnekeag Lake
- Direct access to the Meduxnekeag River right from our property
- Spacious parking area makes it easy to load and go, whether you’re picking up a kayak or launching on-site
- Located just off Route 1 and close to I-95 for travelers coming from other parts of Aroostook County or New Brunswick
Our convenient setup takes the stress out of your kayaking trip—just pick your launch point and we’ll help with the rest.

- Adult Kayaks (x6): Single-person recreational kayaks perfect for calm lakes and rivers.
- Kids Kayak (1): 6-foot kayak designed for children aged 7–12 under adult supervision.

You have three easy ways to get on the water:
- On-Site Launch at Riversbend
Paddle directly from our private launch on the Meduxnekeag River, right behind our property in Houlton. Ideal for those seeking convenience and a peaceful float. - Delivery to Local Lakes
We offer kayak drop-off and pick-up service to two nearby lakes. Simply show up and paddle—no transport required. - Pick-Up & Go
Prefer to explore on your own terms? Rent your kayak(s) and transport them yourself to any public launch of your choice. Roof straps available upon request.

Half-Day, Full-Day, and Multi-Day Rentals Available

Delivery fee of $20 for delivery to the Nickerson Lake or Meduxnekeag Lake Public Launch.
**NOTE: The river is currently too low for kayaking. Lake rentals only at this time.

✅ Know Before You Paddle
- All renters must sign a liability waiver before use.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Life jackets are required to be worn while on the water.
- Delivery and pick-up must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
- Weather cancellations are fully refundable or may be rescheduled.
